Dear St. Elizabeth's Community,
I am thrilled to share some exciting news about St. Elizabeth School’s involvement in the upcoming National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) People of Color Conference this December. St. Elizabeth's has been selected as one of only six schools in Denver to host a site visit during this prestigious conference, the largest annual gathering of independent school educators focused on equity, inclusion, and educational excellence. Over 7,000 participants are expected to attend.
This recognition is particularly meaningful as it stems from the dedicated work of our own leadership team members. Both Amber Hornbacher, our Head of Lower School, and Jamika McNally, our Director of Admissions, serve on the conference planning committee and nominated St. Elizabeth's for this honor. The response to our site visit has been overwhelming—spaces filled up within the first week of registration, demonstrating the strong interest from educators nationwide in learning about our unique approach to education, community, and innovative tuition model.
I'm equally proud to announce that our school choir led by director Emily Branam will perform at the conference on December 6th. Our talented students will present two pieces: "Each of Us Has a Light" and an original hip hop composition "Lead the Way," written by St. Elizabeth's parent Saxon Kincey (Old Man Saxon). This performance will enable our students to showcase their talents and represent our school's creative spirit on a national stage.
These opportunities to share St. E’s mission and our students' talents with educators from across the country reflect the exceptional community we've built together. Thank you for being part of this journey.
Best foot forward,
Adriana Murphy
Head of School
