The Social Justice Studies course empowers students to think critically, research important issues, and create meaningful solutions. Through an investigative lens, students learn to listen with understanding, express their ideas clearly, and develop action steps for positive change.

In grades 4-8, students explore topics like identity, diversity, conflict resolution, and the importance of intentional representation. They also examine historical social justice movements, gaining insight into the past while discovering their own role in shaping a more just and inclusive future.

A highlight of this work is our annual Black History Museum, where students research a topic connected to Black history and present their findings in a museum-style setting for the entire St. Elizabeth’s community. This hands-on experience deepens their understanding of Black history while fostering confidence in research, presentation, and advocacy.
