St. Elizabeth's Annual Breakfast

November 26, 2023 - November 26, 2024

This year’s Annual Breakfast Event, held in the Great Hall at St. Elizabeth’s School on October 19,  not only exceeded its fundraising goals but also fostered a sense of unity and purpose among our school community. The success of this event emphasizes our collective commitment to ensuring that our students receive the best possible education and support. With nearly 150 people gathered in the room, we not only welcomed old friends but forged new connections, as we shared our powerful mission with all. This year, the event far exceeded our expectations by raising over $100,000!

Thanks to a heartwarming challenge match generously extended by our cherished supporter, Tom Owen, these funds will take center stage in our mission to have 65% of student tuition dollars generously covered through philanthropic donations At the event, Tom was honored with the Changemaker Award, an annual honor bestowed on individuals that go above and beyond to support our mission. Although he wasn’t able to attend in person, he recorded a video address, expressing his belief that “education is the best gift you can give anyone.” His daughters, Liz Walker and Amy Stettner, were in attendance and Liz accepted the award on his behalf.

Our honored keynote speaker, Dr. Ulcca Joshi Hansen, shared her inspiring words and visionary insights. Dr. Hansen, a distinguished expert in education and the award-winning author of The Future of Smart, spoke passionately about the value of investing in our youth and the transformative power of providing access to a quality education. She also shared the importance of a school like St. E’s that values student relationships and creativity. After the event, all attendees had the opportunity to meet her, talk further, and purchase a signed copy of her book.

Adding to the event's significance, Michael Borne ‘17, our Alumni Speaker, shared his personal journey and the pivotal role St. E’s played in shaping his success. Michael's story is a testament to the transformative impact of our school, and his words were a reminder of the vital role we play in shaping the future.

The event's atmosphere was further heightened by a touching performance by the St. E’s choir, who presented "Why We Sing," by Greg Gilpin. St. E’s Music Teacher, Jackie Ives, was instrumental in preparing the students for their performance.

Guiding us through the event were our student leaders, Anthony and Manny, who served as the emcees. Their eloquence and enthusiasm showcased the incredible leadership potential that St. Elizabeth nurtures.

As we reflect on the accomplishments of the Annual Breakfast Event, we are reminded of the extraordinary potential within our community. Thank you to our distinguished event participants and to all of you who supported St. Elizabeth’s breakfast event this year. Together, we are shaping a brighter future for our students, and with our community’s love and support, the possibilities are limitless.
