“Gratitude is the memory of the heart.”

 Jean Baptiste Massieu

Dear St. Elizabeth’s Community,

As we head into this school break preparing to share gratitude with our extended family and friends I would be remiss if I didn’t share the gratitude I have for each of you and the countless contributions that make our community the incredible place that it is. These contributions are both given and received from all of us that make up St. Elizabeth’s; students, caregivers, staculty, board members, and supporters. Thanksgiving is a time to come together and celebrate the strength of our community. Thank you!

During this uncertain time we acknowledge and recognize that many communities are currently not experiencing peace, and that across our world there are innumerable individuals whose experience instead is one of daily disquiet and tremendous struggle. Let us keep these individuals in our hearts and prayers this season. This Thanksgiving, let us find gratitude in moments of connection, in the shared experiences that bring us closer, and in the very ability to be thankful for who and what we presently have in our lives.

It is truly a privilege to come to school each day and experience not only the growth and learning of our students, but also the multiple daily interactions that are observed and encountered between loved ones, colleagues, and friends. Let’s cherish the moments of joy, the lessons learned, and the bonds formed so far this school year. May the spirit of Thanksgiving inspire us to continue supporting one another, and to find hope in the face of uncertainty. Wishing you a Thanksgiving filled with warmth, laughter, and shared moments of gratitude.

Best foot foward,
