Dear St. Elizabeth’s Community,

As the first two weeks of school wind down, we're excited to share how we're nurturing a warm and inclusive community within our classrooms and beyond.

Across K–8, students and teachers been busy crafting classroom agreements. These agreements go beyond just rules; they represent our commitment to creating a space where everyone feels safe, respected, and valued. By setting these expectations together, we ensure that every voice matters, and every viewpoint is appreciated. It's about making sure everyone feels like they belong, and that's at the heart of our compassionate community.

In second grade, our young artists explored their creativity and expressed themselves by painting their hands and placing them on a large canvas to create a class mural. It's a wonderful example of how together we learn and inspire new beginnings.

Our middle school students recently enjoyed an exciting trip to Evergreen Lake. It was a day filled with adventure, pushing them to be brave and connect with each other. These experiences teach our students far more than books ever could. They encourage exploration, teamwork, and the building of lifelong friendships.

Thank you to those of you able to join us for coffee with our new middle and lower school heads, Ruth Poulsen and Amber Hornbacher. These gatherings provide a low-key opportunity for parents to connect, share ideas, and have open conversations about how we can continue to nurture a strong sense of community within our school. Check ParentSquare for information about upcoming dates if you missed this round.

Best foot forward,
