Gift Opportunities for St. Elizabeth’s School There are innumerable ways that you can help our new school grow and thrive. Our mission- to provide an exceptional program which is academically challenging, rich in the arts, and dedicated to attending to the children’s social, emotional, and spiritual growth regardless of a family’s socio-economic status- is a powerful one. It is also an expensive one. In our “start-up” years, the help you can give to this unique school has even more impact on our present and future success, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your wonderful support of our efforts. A few numbers to consider when you consider your contribution to St. Elizabeth’s: $100- helps a parent purchase school uniforms.
$350- the cost of one hot lunch per week for a child during the school year. $1000- covers the cost of class field trips. $1500- the yearly budget for each of our specialty classes- music, art, physical education, faith studies, Spanish. $5000- the annual cost of curricular development and purchases. $7500- the annual cost of providing our amazing playground and field to our children. $15,000- the projected annual cost of one child’s education. (Presently, the cost per pupil is much higher, but this will decrease as our enrollment grows.) $50,000- the average cost of salary and benefits for a new full-time teacher- something we will need to do every year as the school grows towards our goal of a K-8 program. St. Elizabeth’s can always use in-kind donations, such as books, musical instruments, educational DVDs, furniture, and more. Schools like ours also thrive because of volunteer help, which can come in the form of assisting on field trips, reading to the children, helping out with extended day care, coordinating events, and being a community ambassador. We know that the best advertisement for the school, both in terms of fund-raising and attracting future students, is word of mouth! Finally, one of the best gifts you can give us is taking the time to come to the school and meet the teachers and the children. Please give us a call at 303.322.4209 to arrange a visit.
